We're 4 months in to this house thing and we're making some slow progress. The siding is going up. It is not a big color change, but the house is no longer rotting!!! Here's a before (left) and after (right):
There is still so much to do. Here is one thing I am dying to get accomplished:
Our closet. Our bedroom closet has a closet fit for....well, definitely not for us. Here:
Teeny!! Pack it with some clothes and you can't even move in there! Plus, the door to the closet is in our bathroom. What happens, then, when Jason wants to "read" for an hour, but I want to get to my clothes? No, this closet will not work. We are building it out into our room for a bigger version and moving the door into the bedroom. In the meantime, our clothes are just in the boxes we packed 'em in and our bedroom looks like the day we moved in (with a new French door and some new windows of course :) :
People ask, "Are you all settled in to the new house?" I can only say "sort of" because I can't put away my clothes yet!!
Tough life, I know.
